OptimalU was founded by James Reilly and Simon Gray through their common passion of fitness and self-improvement. They wanted to create a way to help people optimise their health and improve their lives, regardless of fitness levels or state of mind.

Our goal is to optimise your health, fitness and mental performance. Through our Guides, Challenges and Personalised Plans we show you how to use natural biohacks and tried and tested fitness routines to get results and change your life.

 

Our solutions are interactive and you can connect with our Health Coaches remotely to answer any queries you have. Our Health Coaches are certified by the RSPH in Health Improvement and are on hand to make sure you get results. We also work with London’s top personal trainers, nutritionists and health professionals to bring you bespoke solutions through our Personalised Plans.

All of our solutions are designed for a 21st-century lifestyle. On your journey to peak physical fitness, you’ll also focus on mental performance and learn how to use biohacks to enhance your mood and improve productivity.

We’re passionate about the environment we live in and believe our bodies shouldn’t be exposed to excess toxins and pollution. We promote “all natural” solutions and help limit your exposure to chemicals, hormones and excess “tech”. Following this approach can help to optimise your health and bring your body back to its natural state.

James Reilly

 

James has always focussed on improving his health and the health of others around him.

From sharing helpful tips to having a friendly chat, he has been able to help teammates, colleagues and friends optimise their health and improve their lives. He decided it was time to share this approach with the public and has cofounded OptimalU.

 

James is qualified by the RSPH in Health Improvement and Mental Wellbeing. Having competed at a high level in rugby, boxing and basketball, he has an in-depth understanding of how to optimise the mind and body for peak performance.

Alongside physical health and fitness, one of James’ greatest passions is helping people improve their mental health and performance. This passion has been born out of various personal highs and lows, a demanding schedule and not always having the appropriate resources needed to tackle this area when growing up. James’s own journey has helped inspire OptimalU’s Mind Guide and OptimalU’s approach to focus on mental performance as well as physical fitness.

James has spent the past 20 years studying, researching and using the best strategies and biohacks to optimise his own performance. With a focus on all-natural solutions and biohacking, he has now written OptimalU’s Health and Fitness Guides. The Guides are written in an easy-to-read format, helping you to improve your health and change your life.


James is one of OptimalU’s Health Coaches and is available to answer your questions and help you via our Personalised Plans.

Simon Gray

 

Simon has always had a strong interest in self-improvement, mindfulness and wellbeing. A keen runner and fitness fanatic, he has used the knowledge from years of studying self-improvement to develop techniques to improve his career, fitness and lifestyle.


Having spent his career in marketing, he has used many of OptimalU’s performance strategies to reach the top of his profession. From speaking at seminars, hosting events and helping leading brands excel with their marketing, his focus and determination has driven his success. He now wants to share the techniques and biohacks he’s learnt and help you maximise your potential.


A keen runner and yoga enthusiast, Simon has partaken in over 100 races throughout the UK. Long distance running requires mental fortitude and a high level of fitness – the OptimalU Guides contain the biohacks Simon has used to help him prepare for these physical challenges. The yogic principles of mind, body and spirit are at the centre of Simon’s approach. Follow our social media channels to see how this approach can benefit your lifestyle.


Simon has mentored people throughout his life. Whether at work, on the running track or when coaching rugby, he’s been able to build a rapport with people and help them succeed. He has coached and developed dozens of individuals throughout his career and looks forward to helping you via OptimalU’s Personalised Plans.
